modubond, a moducrete product falling under the Resocrete range is made from Resocrete’s formulated Resocrete 38 substrate.

All Resocrete products are fabricated from resin composite material made from chemically bonded, mineral filled, polymeric materials which once moulded produces a product which is both durable, and versatile, and can be cast into almost endless shapes and forms to meet the most diverse of design needs.

Aside from the standard features of the Resocrete products, this unique Resocrete Mod 38 substrate results in a product with superior flexural strength and acoustic damping properties, as well as outstanding thermal blanketing. Furthermore Resocrete Mod38 offers a fire rated formulation with its superior structural and aesthetic characteristics, these systems result in low maintenance products, with all the beauty and deco-enhancing characteristic synonymous to the Resocrete range of products.

Made from recyclable products, and with a nil moisture absorbency, this superior abrasive and impact resistant surface offers high resistance to biological attack, and attack by acids, alkalis and other corrosive substances.

Innovation

Modubond was created to finally offer the market a truly unique quality architectural composite stone cladding system, for internal and external applications. 

Made from recyclable products Modubond offers a totally unique state of the art cladding option which is environmentally friendly attaining 98% green build properties and has numerous unique and clear advantages and characteristics when comparing to other cladding options. As the name suggests, the Moducrete range consists of a spectrum of modular products which, through unique design and assembly innovations, results in quick installation, reducing erection time on site, and minimizing disruptions to the work place. It offers light weight modular panels and systems with advantages in ease of installation, aesthetics, price, maintenance and repair. If painted the paint does not peel, is impervious to water so no rotting or corrosion and is not susceptible to biological attack.

Finish

Modubond panels can be produced with a smooth or designer textured finish or custom made to project and designer specifications.

The standard cladding panels have a smooth velvet finish and are available in an array of weatherproof and UV resistant colours. This superior abrasive and impact resistant surface offers high resistance to attacks by acids, alkalis and other corrosive substances. We also offer custom designs to suite specific contract requirements in any variety of textures and granite flecked finishes and the panels are available in any of our stone colours, epoxy coated or plain base (grey) in hard wearing finishes. Modubond also finishes beautifully with popular modern textured paint brands.

Using only the best materials in the manufacture process, we ensure that our panels render to our customers a product which is stain resistant, will not fade and which is timeless.

Installation

This cladding system consists of semi-flex lightweight panels from 5mm to 25mm in thicknesses which are fixed to the base structure using a range of specialized or standard curtain walling attachment systems, depending on the particular contract requirements. With the design flexibility that Modubond offers, we have a large variety of mounting systems, from the revolutionary new FAS CUP™ system by FAS TEGNIK (PTY) LTD using a hidden anchor mounting, to 3M’s VHB structural mounting tape onto stainless steel top-hat brackets, and for the more elaborate designs, custom manufactured Resocrete top-hat brackets using Resocrete’s in-house super strength custom formulated epoxy.
