Technical Info

resocrete products are fabricated from a range of specialized composites made from chemically bonded, mineral filled, polymeric materials which once moulded, produce a product which is both durable and versatile, and can be cast into almost endless shapes and forms to meet the most diverse of design needs.

Made from primarily waste products, recycled materials, by product materials and natural stone, resocrete compounds attain a 98% green build rating whilst retaining superior compressive strength, flexural strength, acoustic damping properties, as well as outstanding thermal blanketing.

Each composite is specifically formulated to meet the unique and exacting standards and requirements of that particular product, be it structural strength, abrasive resistance, aesthetic value or any one of the many other differing factors which makes that resocrete product a market leader in its field.

Falling into the generic classification of a Polymer Concrete, resocrete have 48 standard Mods or composites, each of which is specifically formulated for its application and product requirements.

BALUSTRADING, HANDRAILS, MOULDINGS, STREET FURNITURE / SIGNAGE

resocrete manufactures a range of products falling under the category of Street Furniture or Urban Fabric, like bollards, bins, benches, TGSI’s etc but  specializes in custom made products to suit the individuality of the project in hand.

Competing with concrete, aluminium and cast iron as a substrate of manufacture, resocrete has superior characteristics which far outweigh the use of these alternatives and makes it the product of choice.

In general terms, due to its superior structural strength, if resocrete is used as the manufacturing substrate, far slimmer and sleeker end products can be achieved without compromising on strength or durability.

Speed of manufacture of resocrete products is far faster than that of the other alternatives as a up to 10 products can be manufactured per mould per day and the product can be delivered, installed and used the next day as it achieves 90% of its strength after 12 hours.

Being a resin based composite, resocrete cannot rust, corrode, rot or be subject to spalling of steel reinforcing and has a far higher impactability compared to concrete.

resocrete products can be made in solid colour obviating the need for the application of paint and the resultant maintenance problem this creates.

resocrete is up to 15 times stronger, per volume than concrete products, i.e.. concrete has a flexural strength of 3 Mpa and resocrete a flexural strength of up to 47 Mpa.

BUILDING CLADDING

moducrete cladding systems finally offer the market a truly unique quality architectural cultured stone and composite cladding system for internal and external applications.

Falling into the category of Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer Concretes, the LamPlas system is manufactured as either a single surface laminate or a composite panel, and is available in either a range of stone colours, plain base grey compound for hard wearing finishes, or in a satin epoxy coated finish to any colour requirement and can be produced with a satin smooth or designer textured finish, or custom made to the project or designers specifications.

STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS

Providing additional structural support to the modubond and LamPlas cladding systems where required, the innovative StructaBond compound can be formed into brackets, angles and various other profiles, replacing the need for galvanized steel sections, and where used as bracketry and support framework, this compound withstands shear forces of up to 3000kg per linear meter and compressive forces of 1,020 kilogram-force (kgf) per 70mm2.

GENERAL FEATURES

  • Up to fifteen times the flexural strength of Vibrated Cement Concrete
  • High resistance to acids, alkalis and other corrosive substances
  • Resistant to biological attack
  • Far lighter than aluminium, steel and fibre cement products
  • 0% water absorption
  • High acoustic and flexibility absorption properties
  • Superior thermal properties and stability
  • Outstanding weathering and UV resistance
  • Rated Highly Abrasion Resistant
